7 Lazy Sunday Dinner Ideas for Bachelors

7 Lazy Sunday Dinner Ideas for Bachelors

Whenever you’re having a lazy Sunday, the last thing you want to be doing is spend over an hour cooking dinner. But even if you decided to stay in your pajamas for the entire day, relaxing, reading a good book, or watching great series, you’re eventually going to get hungry.

Of course, you could simply open your fridge to see if you have any leftovers in there. Or you could eat a delicious snack, although this will never feel as satisfying as eating a real meal.

Here are seven lazy Sunday dinner ideas that will simplify your life, especially when you don’t feel like spending too much time in your kitchen:

Idea #1: Heat up a can of soup

The easiest thing you could do to prepare a lazy Sunday dinner would probably be to open a can of soup and to heat it up in a pot.

You could add some noodles to your soup while it heats, and top it off with shredded cheese to make it a fuller meal. Eat it with veggies and crackers, or with toasted bread and garlic butter.

This isn’t complicated to prepare, but it’s a great example of comfort food for a lazy day.

Idea #2: Improve your instant ramen or your mac and cheese

Instant ramen and mac and chees is a popular lazy Sunday dinner idea that you should consider. Boxed mac and cheese and instant ramen noodles are very easy to prepare, but they can get a bit boring, especially if you eat them often. But did you know that with only a few extra ingredients and efforts, you can improve these meals and make them a lot more satisfying?

Try adding some shredded cheese, some veggies, and some meat to a bowl of boxed mac and cheese, and see how it will become an entirely different meal.

To make instant ramen more fancy, you can add an egg, some veggies, and some leftover meat to it while it cooks.

Idea #3: Add some pesto to your pasta

You probably often turn to pasta and sauce when you feel too lazy to cook an elaborate meal. This is a simple, quick, and tasty solution that can please anyone, especially since you can find different types of pasta sauce at the store.

To make things a bit more original, however, you could add pesto to your pasta instead of sauce. When you add a few tomatoes or other veggies of your choice, you have a meal that looks and tastes wonderful, without being too complicated to put together.

And this is exactly what you need on a lazy Sunday.

Idea #4: Make a gourmet grilled cheese

A grilled cheese always tastes great. But if you want to try something new, you could make a gourmet grilled cheese.

You can use any type of cheese you like to make your grilled cheese, and you can add ingredients such as caramelized onions, ham, tomatoes, bacon, apples, or whatever inspires you.

Idea #5: Prepare some fried rice with your favourite veggies

Fried rice is delicious, and it’s actually very easy to prepare. Cook your rice as directed on the package, then fry it in a skillet with oil, some soy sauce, and a scrambled egg.

To make your rice more healthy and delicious, you can also fry it with some veggies. Mushrooms, carrots, and peas will make a great fried rice dish, but you can use whatever veggies you like.

You could also add some shrimps, or any leftover meat you might have in your fridge.

Idea #6: Prepare some pizza with naan or pita bread

Pizza doesn’t have to be long or difficult to prepare. If you have some naan or pita bread, you can top it off with tomato sauce, with cheese, and with whatever toppings you like on a pizza.

If you are preparing this meal with your family, everyone will be able to add the toppings of their choice on their flat bread pizza, instead of having to make compromises.

Put your pizzas in the oven for a few minutes, or until the cheese melts and browns on top, and your dinner is ready to eat.

Idea #7: Have someone else prepare your meal

If you’re feeling too lazy to prepare any of these simple meals, why not have someone else prepare dinner for you? You could simply go online to order food from your favourite restaurant, or use a meal delivery service to place your order. This way, you won’t have to cook anything, and you won’t even need to do the dishes when you’re done eating!

If you know you have a busy week ahead, why not try prepared meal delivery services instead of ordering from a restaurant?

You will be able to choose a few delicious and healthy meals, and to get them delivered to your home. You will have something great to eat for dinner, and you will also have a few extra meals you can simply reheat whenever you’re too busy to cook.
