1. Freezers & Refrigerators

This one may be obvious as everyone knows that you need these two to store perishable items and to keep all food fresh. You will need a larger fridge and freezer than you have at home. There are many varieties and sizes of industrial cold storage available, you will need to do your research to understand exactly what shape and size suit your location the best.

You should make sure that you have a professional team install and maintain the cooling units for your restaurant as a breakdown can cost you more than just time. You may even lose all of the ingredients should one of these units fail.

2. Preparation space

Your team of chefs and kitchen workers are going to need space to create their culinary masterpieces. Specifically, they will need prep tables and cutting surfaces as well as a means to transfer the food from kitchen to the service staff. Stainless steel is the recommended material for these surfaces. It does not corrode easily and is easy to clean with powerful cleaning materials.

3. Slicers and dicers

Depending on the volume of food preparation that you need this may be a great investment. A slicer is often used to cut meat, cheese or other foods quickly and in precise ways. Sometimes a manual slicer will do if you do not cut a great deal of food. However, electric slicers can save a lot of time that can be utilized more effectively

4. Mixers

What do mixers do? They mix of course. There are two basic types of mixer, the first is for mixing dough. This will be determined by the volume of dough that you need mixing.

6. Ranges

How are you going to cook anything if you don’t have heat! A kitchen range is much more powerful than the one you have at home. You will need to make sure that you have a range that allows you to do all of the cooking you need to. You may want to ask your chef exactly what it is that they need when it comes to a range.

7. Ovens

Ovens come in all shapes and sizes, you will know what foods you plan on cooking so you may need an oven with the latest bells and whistles when it comes to heating food such as convection oven technology. Alternatively, you may not need an oven at all when cooking.
